In ancient times, wild donkeys were widespread in deserts in northern Africa. This species is the relative of the horse and the ancestor of the domestic donkey. He was domesticated in Egypt around 4500 BC. Despite their small stature, donkeys are very powerful. They are well adapted to the hot climate and very hardy conditions. A muscular waist and back allow the donkey to withstand loads weighing up to 2/3 of its mass. For example, a horse can only carry half its weight. On the back of a donkey, two adults can travel long distances.
The safari and zoo in Ramat Gan near Tel Aviv is the largest zoological center in the Middle East. Scientific research is carried out at the zoo, and there is a veterinary clinic. The territory of the zoo is beautifully designed and conveniently equipped. My biggest tip before visiting the zoo: Don't be lazy to walk.
