The Komodo dragon, also known as Varanus komodoensis, is a lizard that comes from the Indonesian islands of Komodo, Rinca, Flores, and Gili Motang. It is the largest species of lizard. The length of the dragon reaches a maximum of 3 meters and weighing up to approximately 70 kilograms. The Komodo dragon was first discovered only in 1910. Sixteen years later, William Douglas Burden, a researcher, and artist organized an expedition to the Dutch East India to catch a living dragon. In 1933, Cooper, deeply Impressed by the book about the journey, created the movie, King Kong. In 2006, in the UK zoo, two female Komodo dragons gave birth without the participation of a male dragon. Komodo dragon is capable of self-reproduction.
The safari and zoo in Ramat Gan near Tel Aviv is the largest zoological center in the Middle East. Scientific research is carried out at the zoo, and there is a veterinary clinic. The territory of the zoo is beautifully designed and conveniently equipped. My biggest tip before visiting the zoo: Don't be lazy to walk.
