The giant anteater (Myrmecophaga tridactyla), comes from South and Central America and is an insectivorous mammal. The giant anteater can reach 182 to 217 cm in length, and a weight of 33 to 50 kg. The giant anteater is the champion in the length of the tongue, among all land animals, its length can reach 60 cm. Anteaters have no teeth, food is ground right in the stomach, sometimes they swallow pebbles to help digestion. Anteaters like to sleep, their activity time is only about 8 hours a day. These creatures live on average 15 years.
The safari and zoo in Ramat Gan near Tel Aviv is the largest zoological center in the Middle East. Scientific research is carried out at the zoo, and there is a veterinary clinic. The territory of the zoo is beautifully designed and conveniently equipped. My biggest tip before visiting the zoo: Don't be lazy to walk.
