The older man told him that to win back his fairy bride, he needed to go to a nearby tree and strike it three times with an axe while saying her name. Katsantonis did as he was told, and to his amazement, his fairy bride appeared before him, now able to stay in the human world forever. The couple lived happily ever after, and the tree where Katsantonis struck his axe three times became known as the "Tree of the Fairy Bride".
