Meteora Doupiani-Ypapanti Trek

The Doupiani-Ypapanti Trail is a hiking route in the Meteora region of Greece. Meteora's dramatic landscape features massive rock formations and ancient monasteries perched atop these rocks. The Doupiani-Ypapanti Trail connects the Doupiani Rock and the Ypapanti Monastery, allowing hikers to experience the area's natural beauty and rich history.

The Doupiani-Ypapanti Trail is of moderate difficulty and can be completed in about 2-3 hours, depending on your pace and the time you spend exploring the monasteries and other attractions. The trail begins at the base of the Doupiani Rock, easily accessible from the village of Kastraki. From there, the path leads through a forested area before reaching the Ypapanti Monastery, built inside a cave.

Along the trail, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and visit some of the other monasteries in the area, such as the Holy Trinity Monastery and the Monastery of St. Nicholas Anapafsas.
