The Templar Fortress was the most fortified structure in the city and for the most part bordered the coastal sea band. The entrance to the fortress was protected by two powerful towers, the thickness of the walls was 8.5 m. On both sides of the towers were built two smaller towers; at the top of each tower stood a gilded lion the size of a bull.
