"Vienna's Evening Delights: A Glimpse of History, Architecture, and Cuisine" Mar 2, 2020

Description:

Our first evening in Vienna! It is a brief walk around the very center of the city. We just got to see the first glance of the beautiful buildings, their history and the good food. It’s great if you are short on time and just want to get the first taste of Vienna, and to start to understand where you are.

When you come here, you will notice that right in front of the church, on the steps and the square, there are a lot of young people, just chilling. These are the students of the Technological University of Vienna, which is right next to the church. You can Buy tickets to see a concert in the church, right there at the entrance, but we did not go in and did not attend a concert.

This place has existed for a very long time. Although we did not eat anything, it all looked and smelled amazing, and the staff were amiable.

This is the entrance to the park. It closed at 17:00, but we entered because the gate was open. Eventually, we and the other people there were asked to leave.

Burggarten, which translates to "Castle Garden" in English, is a beautiful public park in Vienna, Austria's heart. It is near the Hofburg Palace and offers a serene and picturesque escape from the bustling city centre.

The park features lush green lawns, vibrant flower beds, and elegant pathways, creating a tranquil atmosphere for relaxation and strolls. It is also home to various statues, including the famous Mozart Monument, which pays tribute to the renowned composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Burggarten provides a peaceful oasis where visitors can unwind, picnic, or enjoy the natural beauty. It is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike to soak up the sun, read a book, or admire the enchanting landscape. In addition, the park's central location makes it easily accessible and a perfect place to take a break while exploring Vienna's historic city centre.

Additionally, the park is known for its impressive Palm House, an elegant glass structure that houses a collection of tropical plants and serves as a botanical attraction within Burggarten.

Whether you're seeking a moment of tranquillity or a place to connect with nature, Burggarten offers a serene retreat in the heart of Vienna.

The place is nothing short of a historical monument in Vienna - it is beautiful, and when you enter you feel like you are part of a movie. It was nice, but frankly, the strudel was not the best one I tasted during this trip...
